Exhibition Design for Dutch Design Awards 2024
For the fifth consecutive year, we were entrusted with designing the exhibition for the Dutch Design Awards. We revisited the exhibition furniture from the 2019 showcase, but introduced a fresh aesthetic by partnering with Studio George & Harrison, the creators of the graphic identity. Together, we curated a bold and colorful presentation that stands out this year.
In developing the exhibition’s scenography, we integrated the five thematic missions of Dutch Design Week, each represented by its own distinctive color—yellow, green, pink, blue, and purple. This approach infused the space with a sense of institutional cohesion while creating a visually striking environment.
This year, the DDA spotlighted ten former winners and nominees from the Young Designers category. Each of these designers highlighted an emerging talent within the same mission. We translated this concept into the exhibition by creating a “peek hole” that connected the former young designer with the new, promising talent, symbolizing the continuity and evolution within the design field.
