Transitions II: From raw material to design object

The magic of the material in the hands of six Dutch designers

An abstracted architectural setting, build in the raw space at Ventura Centrale was the ‘shining’ backdrop for Transitions II. Designed to emphasize relations between space, products and materiality, the exhibition displayed the six material driven projects.

For the second edition of their ‘Transitions’ project, Baars & Bloemhoff once again challenged six young Dutch designers to re-imagine and shape its decorative materials into a design collection. The work of David Derksen, Sabine Marcelis, Klaas Kuiken, Daphna Laurens, Paul Heijnen and RENS was presented on a brand-new location full of ambience and abandoned beauty.

With its range of over 2500 different decorative materials and decors, is a valuable partner for many (interior) architects, designers and interior decorators.
