Daphna Laurens presents 'Clips' at Dutch Invertuals

During the creation of a series of 60 'imagination tools' Daphna Laurens' design studio restricted themselves to solely make use of the colour black, intending to fully focus on form.

Derived from this shape driven design process, the clips are exemplary of how looking at and working with form can result in functional objects with, nonetheless, a fluent visual appearance.

Dutch Invertuals presents 'Happy Future'

"Newly gained knowledge allows us to venture deeper into the future. We create new tools, speak a new language and formulate new aesthetics. We interpret nature, re-think our traditions and shape our identity". Wendy Plomp

Daphna Laurens created the glass series “Esprit” for the 2013 exhibition of Dutch Invertuals at the Dutch Design Week in Eindhoven.

The series of glassware is included in the collection of Chateau de la Resle.
From now on it is for sale at Chateau de la Resle!

Chateau de la Resle presents 'Esprit' by Daphna Laurens at Rossana Orlandi.

"Renovating the château and collecting art & design has inspired us to create our own design label “Château de la Resle”. We have invited some of the most talented Dutch designers, from whom we have purchased work in the past, to create unique products exclusively for our label. It is our way of enabling our guests to bring a piece of Château de la Resle home, or to experience the brand behind a unique product by one of your favourite designers". Chateau de la Resle

Daphna Laurens designed the Karel van Mander and Jan van Gelder prize.

It's a miracle

Opening and book presentation about Anthon Beeke and eleven former students at Piet Hein Eek on show until the 27th of October.

This summer the exhibition space will be entirely dedicated to Anthon Beeke and his former students. One floor will house a retrospective of 50 years of work by Anthon Beeke. Here, he is not only the poster boy of design, but also the poetic image-maker, the naughty collector, the naive player, the inspired typographer and the powerful architect of collage pages that were realised long before the cut and paste era.

On the other floor, the work of eleven talented former students of Anthon, who have now succesfully found their own way, can be seen.
